Eastspring Investments, the US$275 billion asset management business of Asia-focused life insurance firm Prudential, has appointed Ioannis Kampouris as its head of quantitative strategies, effective October 6, reporting to Vis Nayar, the company’s chief investment officer.
In this role, Kampouris, who will be based in Singapore, will lead the company’s quantitative strategies team and strengthen analytics capabilities, drive thought leadership in cross-asset quantitative research and commercialize systematic strategies.
Kampouris joins the company from HSBC Asset Management in the UK, where he served as co-head of quantitative equity strategies and oversaw the firm’s global quantitative capability.
The asset manager offers a diverse quantitative strategies suite spanning multi-factor core equity solutions, outcome-oriented strategies, such as low volatility, income generation and climate transition, as well as market beta and completion solutions across both Asian and global markets,
